Rohan Stewart was appointed Director of Engineering and Technical Services in 2016, capping off a distinguished career at the National Irrigation Commission (NIC) that spans over 23 years.

Prior to his current role, Rohan held various positions within the NIC, including Field Audit Auditor and Regional Systems Manager. Throughout his tenure, he has played a pivotal role in upgrading and rehabilitating canal and pressurized irrigation systems, as well as promoting the use of renewable energy systems.

Rohan’s expertise has been instrumental in mitigating the impact of climate change on the natural environment, while also reducing energy costs. His contributions have also led to the extension of irrigation systems and improved efficiency in water production and distribution.

As a seasoned expert in irrigation systems operations and sustainable management, Rohan continues to drive innovation and excellence within the NIC.
